Classically trained as a pianist and awarded c-organist, Dennis Tjiok studies composition with Laura Bowler, Gary Carpenter and Paul Patterson at the world-renowned Royal Northern College of Music.
As composer and performer he has participated in projects ranging from musical theatre to scoring films and games, besides conducting and performing classical music, as well as Rock, Pop and Jazz. He started writing original music when joining chamber music groups and bands, winning competitions for solo piano and ensemble, as well as the EHF 2010 award for composition, and the RNCM Entrepreneurship Award for the creation of ODM Project, audio-visual events promoting organ music and astronomy, supported by YAMAHA.

James Horner (MDW, Wien 2013), Eric Whitacre (RCM, London 2014), Brendan Dougherty (Frankfurt 2015), Conrad Pope & Nan Schwartz (HMW, Baden 2016), Judith Weir (BBC Maida Vale Studios, London 2017) and Tansy Davies (RNCM, Manchester 2016).
